Boston's Alex Verdugo hit another leadoff home run in the Red Sox 8-5 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers. He is the first player in team history to hit a leadoff shot in three straight games. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Verdugo is the third player since 1900 to hit a leadoff homer in three or more consecutive games. Brady Anderson is the record holder with four straight leadoff homers from April 18-21, 1996.
