On April 15, 2000, Baltimore’s favorite son, Cal Ripken Jr., became a member of the 3,000 hit club with a single to center field off of Twins pitcher Héctor Carrasco at the Metrodome in Minneapolis, MN. Upon reaching first base, Ripken received a standing ovation as well as being congratulated by his teammates. For the first time, Cal Ripken Jr. has shared memorabilia from his personal collection for collectors and fans to enjoy.
