Marcelo Mayer - First Hit (72/99)

After solidifying himself as a prospect to watch for in 2025, 22-year-old Marcelo Mayer arrived in the Show, debuting against the Baltimore Orioles. After going hitless in his first MLB game, the young Red Sox infielder notched his first MLB hit with a hard-hit single to left field. Boston would drop the game 5-1 to the Orioles.. Leading up to his major league debut, Mayer hit .271, with 46 hits and 43 RBI at Triple-A Worcester. With Mayer now in the fold, Boston is set again to become a force in the American League East.
