Nestor Cortes - First Strikeout (77/1032)

On March 31, 2018, Nestor Cortes recorded his first Major League strikeout, freezing Byron Buxton with a called third strike while pitching for the Baltimore Orioles against the Minnesota Twins. It was the first of many for the crafty lefty, who’s since gone on to pitch for the Yankees, Mariners, and now the Brewers. A 2022 All-Star known for his flair and deceptive delivery, Cortes has tallied over 550 strikeouts in his career. This Candy Ambassador Gem celebrates the collectors who completed the Candy Ambassador Pass Burn Challenge, as well as Nestor’s passion for the game and his commitment to bringing fans closer to the action.
