Brett Phillips gets WS walk-off hit- 10/25/20 (141/142)
In Game 4 of the 2020 World Series, Rays pinch hitter Brett Phillips stepped up to the plate in the bottom of the ninth with his team down 7-6 against the Dodgers and runners on first and second with two outs. Phillips would line a Kenley Jansen cutter to center, scoring Kevin Kiermaier from second to tie the game. A misplay on the ball by Chris Taylor allowed Randy Arozarena to round third and head home. About halfway down the third baseline, Arozarena lost his footing and stumbled, seemingly ending the Rays' hopes of winning the game at that moment. However, another misplay by catcher Will Smith allowed the relay throw to roll to the backstop and Arozarena to recover and score the game-winning run. This sequence of events marked one of the wildest endings to a World Series game.
